Global Market Intelligence Senior Analyst


The Global Market Intelligence Senior Analyst is part of the Comparator Team and as such studies the commercial and clinical drug market for the purpose of the comparator and clinical ancillary business lines, helps direct strategy to assist the company in reaching business goals and annual operating plan. They are responsible for collecting, validating, analyzing & sharing drug market & comparator product specific data in the appropriate format, handling all related requests received. You will study market’s conditions, regulations, competitors, products, business publications and customers to act as support for both client service and sourcing departments and direct their decision making. The Global Market Intelligence Senior Analyst ensure that the services provided are delivered on time and adhere to the Thermo Fisher standards of quality and compliance. The role requires an good understanding of the pharmaceutical markets, R&D and supply chain. This role is based in Basel, Switzerland.


Responsibilities:



  • Ensures that valuable drug market and product data are collected and made available to our clients and internal stakeholders to enable them to make sound business decisions.

  • Identifies and uses of databases to support analysis on clinical trial pipelines, reveal unique sourcing trends and forecast customer demand.

  • Researches, develops and maintains up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leverages them across the company where appropriate.

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulation and financial modeling and analysis.

  • Is the subject matter expert for internal and external clients in giving advisory support on market intelligence.

  • Understands the needs from internal and external clients, adapts and further evolves processes and procedures around Market Intelligence (including new service offerings).

  • Develops and maintains good and long-standing supplier relationship with international market intelligence service providers.

  • Ensures integration and cross-functional work with stakeholders.

  • Understands the needs from internal and external clients, adapts and further evolves processes and procedures around Market Intelligence (including new service offerings).

  • Generates in-depth drug market intelligence reports for clients with comprehensive analysis on sourcing solution for pricing, volume, lead-time and documentation globally.


Your profile:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science or Business.

  • Ideally, 3 years' experience in business analytics in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • In depth understanding of clinical trials and other pharmaceutical business services.

  • Structured approach, strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to details.

  • Collaborative style; able to build strong relationships with business intelligence service providers and to influence all level of stakeholders.

  • Good knowledge of company functions globally and a deep understanding of the relationships and processes integration among departments within the business.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Fluency in English.

  • Advance computer literacy skills.

  • Team Player.
