The University of Bern educates over 18'500 students and employs more than 7'300 people in around 150 institutes and nine competence centres, which are located over 90 different places.
The Vice-Rectorate Research is setting up the Innovation Office, which is to promote and strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Bern - as a cornerstone of future success.
As a catalyst, the Innovation Office accelerates the further development of ideas and new inventions and strengthens the transfer of innovative research and teaching to business and society. The aim is to establish the necessary structures, processes and instruments at university and institute level in order to meet social, ecological and economic challenges by means of innovative solutions.
