My client is an established international operating company with its headquarter in Zurich. In the process of further development I am currently looking for an experienced and initiative


Global Head of Human Resources


The global Head of Human Resources drives the overall effectiveness for all units worldwide in order to ensure a centric delivery service, including recruitment, retention, compensation and benefits management, employee relations, policies & procedures, performance management, training, talent management and succession planning. The Head of HR is responsible for efficiencies and oversight of the overall HR budget. This inlcudes in detail the following duties:



  • Definition and implementation of a global HR strategy (in close cooperation with Senior Management)

  • Setup of a globally applicable process for performance and compensation topics including rollout in all locations worldwide

  • Implementation of new performance management process in accordance with local regulations

  • Review and update of existing HR policies worldwide in accordance with local labor law

  • Provide consultation on HR policies and procedures to line management and individual staff members about personnel issues and ensure equality and consistency in the management of people

  • Ensure policies are kept updated and liaise with other departments to relay relevant approvals

  • Provide guidance for salary and bonus review process on a yearly basis

  • Lead a team of currently 8 HR employees in various locations in different time zones (western & eastern hemisphere)

  • Drive efficiency savings in HR functions (assess needs and re-align resources as needed in order to achieve the most cost-effective outcome)

  • Provide guidance to HR staff and line management in the application of employee relations policies and procedures and ensures that actions are compliant with internal policies and procedures

  • Ensure smooth information flow on a regular basis

  • Overview handling and improvement of HRIS system worldwide

  • Work with Legal to prepare contracts for senior executives

  • Direct oversight of Payroll with external providers

  • Oversees employee redundancy, resignation or retirement matters


We are looking for a proactive and senior self-starter with a high level of discretion and a positive mindset. In detail you should have the following skill set: 



  • University degree in human resources, business administration or similar

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in the HR field within an international organization in Switzerland

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills

  • In-depth knowledge of HR issues (policies, regulatory requirements, and understanding of core business operational functions)

  • Willingness to make decisions

  • Professional, confidential, ethical and diplomatic attitude

  • Ability to handle very sensitive issues under pressure

  • Resilient personality who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced and international environment (used to cope with a multicultural crew)

  • Native (Swiss) German language and excellent English skills

  • Friendly and engaging personality

  • Willingness for regular travel activities
