Payroll and Time Attendance coordinator


About the role



  • Ensure payroll inputs are consolidated and processed accurately and timely and in accordance with country local requirements and as guided by the Payroll COE, ensuring the controls and segregation of duties are adhered too.

  • Ensure all equity transactions are captured and processed within the pay periods

  • Complete month end payroll

  • Schedule, facilitate and participate in payroll-related meetings and presentations

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external agencies, e.g. Payroll COE, Revenue, etc.

  • Prepare employee and payroll related payments

  • Work with other TBS / HR functions to ensure consistent and accurate flow of information

  • Work with external providers regarding specific payroll treatment for employees e.g. expatriate, international assignments & equity as guided by the Payroll COE

  • Assist in regular audits

  • Ensure a consistent focus and involvement in driving efficiencies and process improvements

  • Ensure Time and Attendance (T&A) activities as well as support to employees in their question


Technical/Functional Expertise



  • Experience in similar role with payroll experience desirable

  • Knowledge and application of payroll principles, concepts and industry practices and standards desirable

  • Payroll certification desirable

  • Understanding of Equity and Mobility programs

  • HR operations or shared services environment or HR Functional experience preferred (i.e. HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Staffing, HR Service Center, etc.). 

  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of Workday desirable

  • Knowledge of ABACUS desirable

  • Strong excel skills


Leadership



  • Good oral presentation skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical audience

  • Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation

  • Good inter-personal skills, communicating well with process SMEs, business process owners, and RPA development team

  • A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to challenges, either individually or as part of a team


Decision-making and Autonomy



  • To be able to take ownership of an issue to closure

  • To be able to understand the importance of escalating issues that sit beyond the scope of the role


Interaction



  • Ability to interact well with employees in the resolution of any query

  • Ability to interact well with your key partners including but not limited to the Payroll COE and HR Business Partners


Complexity



  • Working within international / global remit and within and across other cultures

  • Manage vendor relationship to ensure service standards are maintained and key deadlines are met


Education and Expérience



  • Experience in similar role with payroll experience desirable, 5 to 8 years

  • Knowledge and application of payroll principles, concepts and industry practices and standards desirable

  • Understanding of Equity and Mobility programs

  • HR operations or shared services environment or HR Functional experience preferred (i.e. HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Staffing, HR Service Center, etc.). 

  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of WORKDAY desirable

  • Strong excel skills

  • Fluent in French and English
