We are currently building a state-of-the-art Advanced Surface Center, which will feature an advanced modular application laboratory to develop surface treatments and a progressive surface analytics lab. For this new center, we are looking for a manager with strong leadership skills, creativity and scientific expertise.

Your responsibilities

• Test and develop new surface technologies and analytical methods for characterization of multi-component systems


• Analytical work in the field of rubber, food and beverage raw materials, compounds as well as final articles/products


• Review, validation and optimization of applied analytical methods and implementation of requirements from different quality management systems


• Methodical failure analysis as well as Preparation of internal and external compliance statements


• Communication with external laboratories, test institutes and consultants


• Evaluation and interpretation of analytical results together with our highly experienced development team

Our requirements 

• Profound knowledge in analytical chemistry (master’s/bachelor’s degree in chemistry or physics)


• Profound knowledge and practical experience in instrumental analytics (FT-IR, DSC, TGA, SEM-EDX, RPA, DMA)


• Strong leadership skills to drive the laboratory towards scientific excellence


• Ability to respectfully and productively manage as well as interact with all levels of colleagues and external contacts


• Ability to design and coordinate projects


• Very good communication skills in German (level C1) and English (level B2)
