As Product Manager at BD, you will be more than a product manager and act as the mini General Manager of your business. The essential function of this marketing role is to develop and drive the BD Medication Management Infusion Solutions strategy and help the EMEA region achieve the desired financial performance through comprehensive and timely market shaping, portfolio management and execution of key marketing programs. You would be responsible for



  • launching a new Infusion Solution platform which includes Program launch management, Product Launch Planning and tactics execution,


  • managing this new Infusion System portfolio including infusion pumps, accessories and related dedicated disposables.



Specific Responsibilities



  • Support the implementation of the EMEA product portfolio strategies including pricing, positioning and product promotion.

  • In conjunction with the country marketing & product managers, develop market specific strategies and tactics to ensure that BD Medication Management Solutions Infusion is well positioned for success e.g. providing clear direction on the relevant value and product positioning to drive category share gains.

  • Interface with EMEA and Global Marketing Teams to share information and update with market data, product developments and market specific strategic and tactical plans.

  • Develop and maintain expert market knowledge in terms of quantitative data (e.g. market data, market trends, competitor pricing) and qualitative data (e.g. customer needs, competitor activities, plans, technologies and applications); recommending suitable actions to maximise opportunities and minimise potential threats to the European Infusion Solutions business.

  • Support the Sales team with product information and contribute to product training initiatives as appropriate.

  • Product life-cycle management, to include all aspects of the product life-cycle include product recalls and field corrective actions.

  • Development and implementation of new product launch campaigns, aligning with market specific strategies and coordinating launch activities with all relevant stakeholders.

  • Development and production of promotional material / marketing collateral and tools which will deliver key messages, positioning and reflect brand essence

  • Develop and support market research activities (Voice of Customer) and Post Market Surveillance studies.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product information files / product database to provide the business with a source of reference for all product technical and data enquires; ensuring BD is well positioning to manage the technical requirements of tenders

  • Develop and maintain a competitive intelligence database for your portfolio.

  • Identify, Evaluate and develop Key Opinion Leader (KOL) plan in conjunction with Clinical & Medical functions to ensure strategic alignment. 

  • Conduct regular customer visits to develop awareness of the key market requirements / customer unmet needs.

  • Collaborate and work effectively with the EMEA marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and the cross-functional teams, such as, clinical/medical, health economics, regulatory, quality,  supply chain

  • Contribute effectively to BD Corporate projects, as appropriate

  • Travel to support region on a frequent basis – approximately 50% of time travelling in the region


Qualifications



  • 5+ years experience in medical marketing required

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Technical Discipline or related field required

  • Significant experience within the healthcare and/or infusion delivery, including strong, proven marketing experience

  • PC Literate intermediate level in Excel/word/PowerPoint etc.

  • Experience in increasingly responsible positions in marketing

  • Infusion device and European marketing experience preferred

  • Good strategic marketing skills, including demonstrated success in launching new products

  • Ability to speak a European language would be an advantage

Knowledge of Specific Procedures/Practices



  • Knowledge of medical devices, laboratory, clinical practice / the healthcare environment would be advantageous.


Complexity of Duties:



  • Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth knowledge of the business, industry and European and Middle East markets

  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet business requirements

  • Position will be based in Eysins, Switzerland

  • Successful candidate must be willing to travel to support region on a frequent basis – up to 50% of time travelling in the region
