We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Private Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.


Based in Geneva, the jobholder will collaborate within the FX & Precious Metals department as a Product Specialist/Trader, working with Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors, External Asset Managers and Direct Access Clients.


The candidate will need to bring a strong added value on the advisory side by being able to generate meaningful ideas and promote them across our client base.


The role will involve mainly OTC derivatives and therefore a strong and extensive knowledge in this field is mandatory.


In this role, you will:


Impact on the Business/Function 



  • Manage all FX and Precious Metals activities on High Net Worth Individuals’ portfolio and provide Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors, External Asset Managers and Direct Access Clients with market information, trading advice and hedge solutions

  • Actively contribute to increasing the OTC derivatives business by providing trainings to RM/IC’s, advice, investment strategies.

  • Proactively look for cross asset trading opportunities involving derivatives.

  • Contribute to Investment meetings, daily and weekly publications, and all FX marketing material

  • Maintain Client relationship in full compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures on Conduct, ensuring Client fairness, Clients needs and Client outcomes are placed at the heart of the business


Customers / Stakeholders 



  • Maintain and develop a strong and consistent FX delivery to Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors, External Asset Managers and Direct Access Clients within PBRS and PBLU

  • Keep a constant dialogue with all above stakeholders

  • Maintain high visibility and recognition of the FX desk in PBRS by delivering a high quality of all FX services

  • Develop the Direct Access Customers (DAMs) business, by working closely with RM and actively look for new opportunities

  • Expand non-DAM Client relationships by taking responsibility of primary FX coverage for certain Clients and onboarding new ones

  • Develop synergies and close working relationships intragroup


Leadership & Teamwork



  • Demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude anytime in a collaborative effort within the Team to achieve the best outcome for Relationship Managers, Investment Counsellors, External Asset Managers and Direct Access Clients within PBRS and PBLU

  • Collaboration with the other asset classes desks

 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:



  • Minimum 5 years in a sales / structuring / trading role

  • Extensive knowledge in FX and commodities derivatives

  • Investment banking background, sales or structuring side would be an added value

  • In depth knowledge of Macroeconomic drivers of the FX market

  • Should demonstrate strong pitching skills in order to meet high profile clients

  • Cross asset knowledge and ability to expand the horizon beyond FX 

  • Due to immigration restrictions in Switzerland we will only be able to consider applications from Swiss or EU citizens or from candidates holding a valid Swiss work permit.
