Job Description


OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE



  • Global Supply Chain Business Process Leads’ objective is to be the undisputed champion of the digital SC business processes enabling efficient, effective and compliant business operations while simplifying the complex with technology.

  • Incumbent leads global business process governance for SC business processes (Order to cash, cross company sales, integration with partners, digital commerce, homecare, case management), builds SC system user capabilities, and collaborates with business functions, GSC, and IT to design system related business processes in this area to deploy a proactive, agile, global, end-to-end supply chain process.Incumbent will support and enhance usage of Takeda’s SAP GTS module, streamling and automating processes to ensure customs and trade compliance on cross company sales


SCOPE


Incumbent will support and enhance usage of Takeda’s SAP-Sales and Distribution and Global Trade Solutions module which streamlines and automates processes related to order management and customs and trade compliance.   


ACCOUNTABILITIES


Business Process Ownership & Governance



  • SC IT project implementation: Prioritize and manage SC IT projects, including break fix resolutions and enhancements, in close alignment with GSC functions & Takeda IT; Test & approve system changes/break fix resolutions and system documents

  • Global Business Process Governance GOP:  Own GOPs and process flows and/or collaborate with GOP owners outside of the department


Capability Building



  • Training: Lead and support Communities of Practice for order to cash / sales order management; contribute to Supply Chain Academy

  • Change Management: Lead the SC organization and Local Operating Companies (LOC) to maximize employee adoption of key initiatives and operating model changes to increase value realization of system enhancements.


Supply Chain Architecture



  • GSC IT requirements: Collect & align requirements from GSC and LOC functions for Supply Chain IT systems and align with Takeda IT; collaborate on system design to optimize business processes  

  • Global Integrations: Drive, manage & monitor  harmonization of developments & deployments for GSC related processes within scope


DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS


Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise



  • Strong knowledge of order to cash and intercompany business system designs within SAP, including master data, integration points between systems, with experience in system implementations

  • Knowledge of order to cash and trade compliance processes and concepts with an emphasis in US and EU regulations.

  • Experience with various Supply Chain modules within SAP

  • Very strong understanding of intercompany processes & procedures, including internal controls, as well as business requirements development

  • Knowledge of SAP-GTS capabilities including License/Permit Management, Material Master, Classification, Export Documentation, and Electronic Customs Declaration.

  • Experience with creating and training subject matter experts and/or key-users and leading change management activities related to system changes

  • Thorough knowledge and expertise in MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel, and MS-Word for developing, communicating and implementing change management and strategic activities.

  • Ability to operate cross functionally, working with all GSC functions, Operating Units (OpUs), and commercial business units

  • Strong capabilities to drive & implement best in class processes across the Takeda organization

  • Strong capabilities to influence senior leaders, peers, and key users within business and IT to build efficient order to cash business process capabilities aligned with Takeda strategy.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:



  • Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management or equivalent experience

  • Min 5 years of prior relevant experience with Supply Chain Organization / Supply Chain IT Organization and/or its key functions with solid understanding of end to end intercompany process.   

  • A minimum of 5 years’ of combined experience in order to cash/ sales & distribution, import and export trade compliance, preferably with SAP within the pharmaceuticals / biopharmaceuticals industry

  • Experienced in Change Management activities, including change impact assessments, business readiness assessments and communication.

  • Strong and impactful communication skills to manage stakeholders across levels & across functions

  • Strong ability to establish productive and collaborative relationships among multiple stakeholders from cross-functions

  • Strong accountability to prepare and execute work plans with ability to proactively identify and effectively address problems to achieve successful outcomes

  • Strong ability to reach decisions that balance the company objectives with key stakeholders’ needs and compliance risk while leveraging available resources to propose efficient and effective solutions.

  • Strong ability to encourage, identify, and effectively implement value added change to continually improve end to end order to cash processes

  • Strong ability to continuously improve leadership and management skills to enhance contribution of self and others

  • Strong ability to maintain composure during challenging times and identify themes in feedback received from others and adjust behavior accordingly.

  • Strong ability to simplify complex business process problems through innovative thought and provide clarity to different stakeholder levels in the organization
