Job Description


OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE



  • Support the development & operationalization of the global automation strategy

  • Enforce automation harmonization & standardization based on strategic drivers

  • Contribute to Global Major CapEx programs as Automation SME


ACCOUNTABILITIES


Under the guidance and leadership of the Global Head of Automation lead, the position holder



  • will manage the execution of a strategic automation program according to the strategic roadmaps aligned with the regional/OpU Automation Leads and other stakeholders

  • assists the regional/OpU Automation leads to incorporate the strategic program in their area of responsibility

  • develops a program support structure for local execution by utilizing internal/external SMEs

  • is responsible to provide business/delivery performance metrics & updates for the strategic program

  • ensures the compliance with automation standards, guidelines, GxP compliance and cybersecurity in the strategic programs and global engineering projects

  • documents and provides standard specifications and guidelines (playbooks) to the organization and keeps these documents in up-to-date.

  • ensures that latest technology standards are translated into technical specification/standards

  • reviews and approves key project documents with regard to Automation especially in FEED and Global Engineering CAPEX  projects in order to ensure compliance with global standards

  • Performs regular project reviews, provides technical and test expertise for the sites implementation strategies of the global strategy programs

  • runs regular review meetings with regional/OpU Automations leads, site contacts and supplier to ensure supplier relationship and support.

  • ensures overall compliance with Takeda’s QMS


DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS  



  • Drive aspects of modern automation (state-of-the art/emerging automation system technology and shopfloor data integration (connectivity & communication))

  • Operate a modern and risked-based obsolescence management approach for disruptive and incremental change management in automation system replacement

  • Ensure end2end realtime shopfloor data automation & historization concepts

  • Manage knowledge share (Meet&Learn) in the global automation community

  • Drive performance of global engineering projects by applying the above mentioned Automation standards


EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:


Required education & technical skills:



  • Education: Bachelor (plus 7 years experience) or Master degree (plus 5 years experience) in Automation Engineering (process, data, equipment, facility automation)

  • Proven track record of automation systems and data integration

  • Very good knowledge of proven industrial automation technologies and experience in emerging (Industry 4.0) technologies & how to apply these in pharmaceutical automation concepts

  • Strong automation cybersecurity knowhow & industrial networking experience

  • General knowledge in Digital/Data Science and its enabling concepts

  • Data Integrity Trouble Shooting & GxP knowledge, good pharmaceutical experience


Additional desired Skills:



  • Pharmaceutical process knowledge

  • Project management skills

  • Financial acumen

  • Result-driven

  • Comfortable with complexity and ambiguity

  • Languages: Business fluent proficiency in English (written and oral)

Travel requirements
