Job summary


The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Partner Sales Manager to join us in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, you will oversee sales activities across our solutions portfolio for the Swiss German region with a focus on solutions provider partners. You'll manage and develop strategic relationships with our partners to guide sustainable long-term growth and accelerate the adoption of our innovative solutions. As a Senior Partner Sales Manager, you’ll also develop, implement, and manage joint business plans that identify key growth areas in the partner team to help increase revenue and capitalize on Red Hat technologies.


Primary job responsibilities



  • Define Red Hat and joint value propositions with leading solutions providers to win in short-term and mid-term opportunities

  • Win net-new subscription business

  • Promote sales, focusing on joint solutions and opportunities and on creating and guiding those partner sales initiatives

  • Work closely together with our account management team as well as with partners to demonstrate how Red Hat’s solutions and technologies can be integrated in their offerings to deliver a higher ROI

  • Take responsibility for development and enablement of business partners and solutions providers

  • Promote executive engagement on an ongoing basis to make sure that key strategies for increasing Red Hat's presence in partner customer accounts are in place

  • Build jointly-agreed-to business plans with the partners and ensure the implementation of business plans based on defined metrics

  • Manage opportunities and forecasts on a weekly basis and achieve additional revenue growth through strategic partners


Required skills



  • 8+ years sales experience working with partners and distributors

  • Experience building strategic relationships and developing business with partners

  • Proven ability to significantly increase revenue and a record of managing organizations that deliver targeted sales and market share numbers

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and follow-up skills

  • Willingness to travel

  • Highly motivated and able to work as part of a team

  • Fluent in German and English skills with the ability to understand Swiss German

  • Ability to translate partner business needs into joint solutions and manage those initiatives

  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to an ever-changing work environment
