Two PhD Positions in Health Care Management, Health Economics and Health Policy (m/w/d)

70% (limited for 4 years, by 01.03.2021)

Your tasks



  • Research on topics in health care management, health economics and health policy

  • Contribution to the SLHS activities, in particular the  development of policy briefs and the preparation of stakeholder dialogues

  • Scientific publications

  • Support in teaching and administration

  • Supervision of master students


Your profile



  • Master's degree in management, economics, medicine, public health or equivalent

  • Strong academic record (GPA of 5.0 or better is required for students from Swiss Universities, or equivalent for students from abroad)

  • Strong analytical skills (microeconometrics, methods for causal inference) and interest in quantitative empirical work

  • Excellent knowledge of German and English (spoken and written)

  • Structured and responsible working method

  • Excellent communication and rhetorical skills

  • Ability to work in a team

The PhD positions are embedded in the Swiss Learning Health System (SLHS) a collaborative project between ten academic partner institutions (Universities of Basel, Lucerne, Lugano, Neuchatel, St. Gallen and Zurich, Bern University of Applied Sciences, University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland, Zurich University of Applied Sciences and Unisanté Lausanne).

The SLHS aims to build scientific capacity and bridge research, policy and practice by means of structured dialogues between different stakeholders.
