DXC Technology, as the product owner of the core banking solution IBIS3G, provides end to end services from DXC Banking Service Centre Bern in Switzerland for banking customers demanding extraordinary qualifications and the highest security standards. A broad service portfolio for banks in Switzerland and abroad will be offered from Bern.

DXC Switzerland's objective is to become the specialized product provider for the financial industry in the coming years.

To enable this growth and leverage the opportunities with our current and potential customer base, we are currently looking for a Junior Monitoring Specialist to join our team in Bern, Switzerland.

What the position offers you:

• The operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the installed Monitoring & Reporting solution environment at the DXC BSC (Banking Service Centre)


• The coordination of escalations and technical challenges between the customer and the corresponding delivery


• Cooperation with the manufacturers and hardware/software suppliers to fix vulnerabilities


• Where possible to proactively and reactively provide solutions to prevent problems from occurring in the area of responsibility.


• Collaboration with various internal and external projects

What you bring with you:

Qualifications and work experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, relevant experience in the banking or financial industry is a plus.


• Our preferences are to candidates who have advanced training and certification in Monitoring & Reporting administration. (i.e. Zabbix, Dynatrace, OpCon, OML or equivalent experience).

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Primary skill:

• Strong Monitoring & Reporting Skills/Knowledge


• Technical understanding of Microsoft Systems


• Technical understanding of Databases


• Technical understanding of Job Scheduling


• Technical understanding of Network environment and devices


• Deep IT Skills in Linux and Shell Scripts and Python

Other essential skills:

• Knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows


• Ability to work as part of a team, which may be virtual, global, and/or multi-functional.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong written and verbal skills (nice to have)


• Awareness or experience in Customer/Vendor Management


• Readiness for evening and weekend work and doing on-call

Language:

• Fluent in German (mandatory)


• Good English skills

*Traditionally, this position is located in Bern, Switzerland, and individuals must be onsite when needed and when safe working conditions requirements are met.
