For an ambitious project within the Radiation Transport and Multiphysics Group we are looking for aSoftware Developer80 - 100 %Your tasks
Create a new and unique software tool to preprocess scientific data from different sources like Monte Carlo simulations
Populate a suitable database to be designed according to the specifications
Process the numerical data according to the input by the user interface
Record the results including version tracking, visualization and documentation
Close cooperation with an interdisciplinary project development team
Your profile
Degree in computer science or in similar field of studies (mathematics, science, economics) or equivalent experience
Experience in designing and building software solutions according to the specification in at least one of the following languages: Python, C++, C, Java and/or C#
Proficiency with modern Web-UI application framework, e.g. Flask, Django, Angular.js, React, Vue.js, D3.js or Chart.js
Confident with visualization techniques and frameworks, e.g. ParaView, VTK or 3d Slicer; ROOT framework (CERN) is of advantage
Knowledge in performing ETL, ideally in scientific data manipulation using Python and Query languages, e.g. SQL, Jaql or HQL
Proactive and communicative personality who enjoys working in an interdisciplinary group
Comfortable with speaking and writing in German is a plus
