For our site in Visp we are currently looking for Senior Team Lead Operations. You will be the Functional lead for an interdisciplinary team of process engineers and specialists. Managing and supporting the operational activities of a manufacturing (USP/DSP) unit with regard to safety, quality and on-time-in full delivery. Accountable for the performance, results of the assigned area. Member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team.
Key responsibilities:
Manages a team of process engineers and manufacturing specialists with full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues.
Ensures a good information exchange from the upper management levels to his/her team and the other way around through regularly team meetings and escalation of production issues.
Implements the LONZA culture via openness for change and new ideas, cooperative teamwork and continuous improvement even outside his/her own area of responsibility
Accountable for the execution of all production campaigns in his/her manufacturing unit with regard to safety, quality and delivery
First contact person in case of production issues in his/her manufacturing unit according to the common escalation guidelines. Supports MSAT, Production Support, QA and production teams with expertise in solution finding and trouble shooting
Executes risk analysis and manufacturing work place inspections
Representing the operational area in customer meetings, audits and regulatory inspections.
Key requirements:
Master studies or a related degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related disciplines
Appr. 5 years of work experience in Biotechnical manufacturing
Good leadership skills; very good communication skills and interaction with all kinds of interfaces within the organization; strong team orientation
Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude; open-minded for new ideas and suggestions; agile, highly motivated and dynamic drive; solution-oriented
Business fluent German and/or English
