The Department of Communication and Media Research (IKMZ) at the University of Zurich (UZH) is one of the leading international departments of communication studies. Media Management involves, on the one hand, the management of media products as their 'conscious design' and, on the other hand, the management of decision-making and leadership processes in organizations that offer such media products. From a Communication Studies perspective, significant research areas include media product management, media brand management and media convergence management. This also includes the management of digital platforms or the strategically planned use of them.

Involvement, development and execution of high-quality research projects
Further academic qualification, publications, conference participation
Teaching courses on the subject of media management as part of our BA and MA study programs at the Department of Communication and Media Research (IKMZ) at the University of Zurich
Supervision, organization and administration tasks
Your profile
Very good doctoral degree in Communication Studies (or, if applicable, a neighboring discipline with direct relevance to the subject of media management)
Proven research and teaching competence on the subject of media management
Very good knowledge of theories in Communication Studies
Very good knowledge of empirical social methods
Very good knowledge of German and English
Organizational and communication skills, commitment and ability to work in a team, international orientation
