As of February 2021 or upon agreement, GF is looking for a senior experienced expert to support the Corporation and the Divisions in the transformation of the ERP landscape and to enable new business models on modern ERP platforms.

As our future Head of ERP Strategy & Platforms you will have the unique chance to shape the global SAP environment and provide leadership to cross-functional teams in the delivery of high-impact initiatives. With your in-depth knowledge and understanding of SAP architecture (S/4 HANA) you will drive the transformation of our ERP platforms forward. Your contributions will enable the translation of our current business processes into SAP best practices.

Main tasks



  • Analyze current ERP / SAP situation as baseline for our transformation to SAP S4HANA

  • Establish a solid internal network to stakeholders, application / process owners in Business & IT

  • Define "Target Concept for ERP at GF" in line with Strategy 2025 / IT Strategy 2025 and business requirements

  • Ensure "as lean as possible" concept (based on best practices; least customizing approach)

  • Support key application initiatives as well-experienced advisor

  • Continuously scout & evaluate SAP based solutions to proactively recommend best practices

  • Define and align roadmap priorities and ensure timely implementation (incl. phase-out of old systems)

  • Own architectural program portfolio and ensure full program transparency (milestones, quality, budget, resource requirements)

  • Ensure change management initiatives to ensure buy-in and quick wins

  • Lead internal program (PMO) and related external partners


Competences / skill profile



  • Owns the architectural design of the global ERP landscape

  • Thought leader in ERP Strategy & conceptual design

  • Strong personality / stable & calm character - yet convincing and persistent (winning hearts & minds)

  • Proactive, pragmatic doer - yet with "end in mind" / systems thinking approach

  • Solid SAP S4/HANA knowledge - on premise and cloud solution

  • Solid migration experience (business, technical, organizational and change aspects)

  • Strong experience with industrial groups and historically grown ERP landscapes

  • Fluent in English is a must (German recommended, other languages a plus)

  • Strong communication skills - on all levels

  • At least 10years SAP experience - preferably in traditional SAP and S/4HANA solutions

  • At least 5years experience in building teams and in leading change projects

  • Experience in leading large projects / programs with cross functional scope (IT, Business, all management levels)
