Rotor Dynamics & Rotor Loads Specialist


Part of Leonardo (through its Helicopter division), Kopter is set to become a Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies; also contributing to the development of new hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. The single-engine, turbine-powered SH09 now under development will outperform its peers with increased modularity, modern electronic systems, and a larger cabin and cargo hold. The SH09 delivers latest safety standards, more performance and comfort at low operating costs. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based near Zurich, Switzerland – with corporate/engineering offices at Wetzikon, and the production facilities in the towns of Mollis and Näfels.


Your responsibilities



  • Rotorcraft Limit and Operational load computation to comply with TC

  • Execution
    and development of appropriate tools
    rotorcraft load prediction tools for predicting loads, flight test data correlation

  • Presentation of simulation results with proficiency

  • Time-effective coordination with other departments (Flight Testing, Stress and Systems)
    Prepare analysis reports including interpretation of the analysis results

  • Collaborates actively on the project, among others, he gets/brings trans-sectoral knowledge and information

  • Assumes the responsibility for his task (sub-area)

  • Maintains the legal aviation & safety requirements in his operations and implements them


Your skills, experience and qualifications



  • Knowledge of rotorcraft sizing and operational loads, instrumentation and flight test data co-relation

  • Good communication skills and experience in presenting results

  • B2 English level, both verbal and in writing

  • Good team player skills, self-driven attitude  

  • Hold a university degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent

  • More than 2 Years of relevant experience in rotorcraft Loads Analysis and Model validation with tests environment

  • A working experience with Matlab, Nastran or any other loads prediction tools is desirable

  • At least 2 years of experience in aerospace sector
