As part of the Hitachi ABB Power Grids, the Global Product Group Grid and Power Quality Solutions is integrating systems for Utilities and Industries world-wide with a complete portfolio going from FACTS technologies to grid interconnection solutions at medium and high voltage.

Your responsibilities

• Monitoring cost development per solution in key tenders. Cost managers will directly report status, achievements and road blockers to higher management.


• Contributing to define and develop tool environment and right network between tender function-controlling, function-Product Management and SCM.


• Cooperation with Product Management to identify hot-topic cost items and timely trigger improvements actions. One of which can be to trigger Design to Value (DtV) wave.


• Owning and keeping track of the budget for Cost Management and DtV.


• Consolidating prioritization of investment and road mapping of activities with Product Management.


• Cooperation with Product Management to define DtV wave scope, time plan and cross functional team manning.


• Leading DtV wave as well as leading team toward successfully meeting targets set by Product Management.


• Overall responsibility for DtV key idea implementation and timely utilization in tenders and projects.


• Driving communication to internal stakeholders on progress and escalating roadblocks to success.

Your background

• More than five years of experience and active work with full cost models optimization.


• You are an experienced professional in the industry.


• You have proven general understanding of power system equipment and solutions.


• Experience in SCM is considered a plus.


• Fluency in both spoken & written English is required. Additional languages are an advantage.


• Good team player. Strong, well-developed communication, influencing, coaching and leadership skills.


• You are analytical and with ability to structure complex environments.


• Current work permits valid in Switzerland.


• Willingness to travel abroad.
