As a Venture Architect you keep a finger on the pulse of the market, evaluate business ideas and prepare pitches for our investment board consisting of the top leaders in the company. If we decide to go ahead, you pilot them together with Engineers, Product Designers and Growth Hackers. In case of commercialization of an idea with product-market fit, you may transition into a founder role on the project.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Run the whole venture building process, from ideation to carve out, in a structured, customer-centric and data driven way
Leverage and coordinate specialists in UI/UX design, engineering and growth marketing to evaluate business ideas and build pilots
Develop the economic model and business plan for new ventures, products and services
Conduct customer, user and market research to identify and evaluate business opportunities and to test and validate assumptions for early products
Explore and analyze markets, competitors and trends in the industry
Present results of the venture building process to senior leadership on a regular basis
Key skills / requirements
A minimum of 2-3 years of working experience in consulting, tech start-ups or venture builders
Track record of “building” something on your own - it doesn’t matter if you have failed, what matters is the learning curve
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a renowned university, ideally in business, finance, economics or a technical field
Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
Ambitious and equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset to make things happen
Empathy for customers and intuition for how software can solve their needs while generating a profit
Ability to think outside the box / envision a world different than the status quo
Very good spoken and written communication skills in English and good spoken and written communication skills in German
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
Bonus points:
Basic coding skills in any programming language and/or understanding of HTML and SQL
Design or product development expertise
