The Position


Purpose of the role is to provide leadership and experience in the creation and design of Analytics solutions, procedures and business processes that meet business, customer and technological requirements.


As the Lead BI Consultant, you will independently manage the entire technical or business process area of responsibility within the sphere of Commercial Analytics. You evaluate alternative informatics technologies where required and investigate industry best practices and emerging trends. Based on this, you create and design solutions and procedures, and optimize business processes and generating insights at a global level. In addition, you will develop and manage the respective business critical know-how for your area of expertise.


Your main responsibilities and accountabilities:



  • Analytics Solution Development, Configuration and Design: ensuring the system development and regulation regarding functionality, IT-infrastructure, profitability and documented parameters

  • Consulting: ensuring a professional client consultation for optimizing existing processes as well as the conceptualization of Analytics-solutions within the framework of introduction or further development of Analytics systems within the national or international project environment

  • New technologies: evaluation of new technologies regarding their functionality and cost/benefit, aligning them to the required business outcomes

  • Solutions Management:  responsible for the end-to-end solution lifecycle.

  • Project Management: being in charge of Analytics projects in the national and international environment and ensuring adherence and control of agreed upon project goals, budgets and timelines as well as being in charge of directing internal and external providers.

  • IT quality & security: development of documentation relevant to quality as well as system documentation


Who you are

You have Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent degree and/or experience. Postgraduate qualifications at a Masters or PhD level are preferred. You bring 10-15 years of professional IT experience in a major, global organization covering technical design, solution architecture and implementation/development of analytics system chains. You have experience with working in a regulated environment and with Computer System Validation. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered a plus.


You are proficient with strong experience in area of Business Intelligence/ Analytics tools, have working experience in Cloud Technology/ Architecture (AWS or Google Cloud).  Able to understand/ translate trending Technologies / Digital capability to different business needs, and can engage with senior business stakeholders.


In addition, you bring the following competencies and expertise:



  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise Business Intelligence solutions with ETL/integration with multiple Enterprise applications (like CRM, SAP) as well as with non-enterprise, unstructured data sources on cloud platforms such as AWS

  • Good Knowledge in Systems Integration across Business Intelligence landscape.  Experience in data preparation, data virtualization, data visualization will be a plus

  • Good knowledge and experience in MS SQL, JS

  • DevOps/ Agile teams experience, preferably experienced in leading agile teams

  • Proven experience in engaging business, understanding business directions/goals, translating the goals into appropriate Analytics needs

  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills, ability to build rapport across multiple functions and multi levels (IT, Business). Fluency in English reading, writing, listening and speaking


This position requires international travel up to 20% of the time. Since we are covering different time zones, flexibility to work outside of normal working hours is expected.
