Sr.Sales Engineer (remote office possible)

In this role, you will cooperate closely with our Sales Executives to pursue and close new opportunities. You are the technical expert during the sales process, including offering, solution design, proof of concept, and implementation oversight. As a Sr. Sales Engineer, you are the interface between our internal teams to ensure that high quality is delivered, and success criteria are met.

Your first three 3 months at Open Systems:

• Get to know the Sales Executives and Engineers you will be working with closely


• Familiarize yourself with Open Systems Cyber Security and Network Security service offering


• Begin training on our SASE and MDR platform and our unique DevOps support model


• Support your Regional Partner/Channel peers to discover new opportunities and build pipeline


• Engage in discovery calls and early-stage opportunities together with an experienced SE for hands-on learning


• Understand the Open Systems value proposition and use it to challenge prospects and open up opportunities

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessment of customer needs and technical requirements


• Concept presentations and/or live demos


• Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions


• Complete RFP/RFI responses and actively participate in the presentation meetings along with the Product and Sales team


• Design and execution of proof-of-concept solutions


• Design of global MDR Service solutions


• Design of global Secure SD-WAN/SASE solutions


• Handover of new customers to account management and delivery teams

You have a university degree in Computer Science or a related field and enjoy the combination of technology and communication skills. You are highly motivated to learn new skills and expand your existing theoretical and practical knowledge in training programs offered inside and outside the company. You should bring some of the following skills to the table:

• Strong technical background in IT Security (SIEM, SOAR, SOC, XDR)


• Technical experience in networking and network security (Secure SD-WAN/SASE)


• Deep understanding of cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure and Azure Sentinel


• Understanding of core network and security technologies such as SD-WAN, Firewalls, Secure Web Gateway, DNS Filter, Secure Email Gateway, Network Detection and Response, Endpoint Detection and Response and Managed Detection and Response (SOC)


• Positive, service and sales-oriented personality


• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills


• Commitment to developing customer and partner/channel relationships


• Competence to work in a team, as well as individually


• Willingness to travel (post-COVID-19)


• Fluent in German and English (required), French is a +
