We are currently looking for Frontend Software Developer interested in joining our talented and diverse team with a wide range of expertise in application development for medical devices. Next to software engineers and algorithm developers, also software quality engineering, project- and product management as well as quality assurance specialists are collaborating closely together with one goal: providing the clinical community with a novel and innovative solution to treat cardiac arrhythmias. Our engineering team has the spirit of an internal start-up organization ready to tackle challenges that allow Varian to expand its footprint in new markets.
Your talent and passion for modern web frontend application development will play a key role in the user experience of our product for clinical experts. You will be the responsible frontend development engineer in the team and serve as subject matter expert in that area. Next to greenfield product development, expect to support recent product releases and contribute additionally in prototyping experimental technologies in the domain of cardiac radioablation treatment planning.
Main Responsibilities
You develop, maintain and document user interfaces for web applications as part of medical devices in the domain of radiation treatment planning.
As part of the engineering team, you interact closely with UX designers, product management, software quality engineering and clinical collaborators in an agile software development setup.
You ensure high standards in usability, performance and safety of the software components that you develop.
You interface with RESTful backend services to implement user facing application features.
You are expected to contribute to tasks of the application development lifecycle which are outside of your immediate role such as risk management and complaint investigations.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in enterprise frontend software development (TypeScript / JavaScript / Angular Framework / CSS).
Proficiency in Angular web application framework.
Proficiency in Git version control.
Strong experience in interfacing with RESTful API endpoints.
Experience in frontend test automation is an asset.
High interest in usability and interaction design.
Experience in agile software development processes / Scrum.
Collaborative, engaging and curious personality.
Fluency in English language, written and verbal.
Earliest start date: April 1st, 2021
