Our people and culture are the foundation of our success. For our global Power Electronics Engineering, we are looking for a committed and experienced Electrical Engineer. In this challenging role, you will manage or support engineering projects relating to traction converters and energy storage systems for rolling stock applications. Within an international team, your primary focus will be on designing the right product for our customers and transferring knowledge to our local engineering departments worldwide. Your responsibilities



  • Power electronics engineering (design and documentation) for auxiliary and traction converters and energy storage systems (batteries)

  • Supporting the sales department in the concept and tender phase

  • Specifying components and defining technical requirements with suppliers

  • Supporting and performing commissioning and type tests (partly on the vehicle)

  • Coaching employees in the local engineering departments globally regarding technical questions, processes, tools and templates (partly on site)

  • Ensuring quality of electrical designs of local projects


Your background



  • Master or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

  • Several years' work experience in the design/engineering of power electronics circuits

  • Good knowledge of traction technology and familiarity with the electrical equipment of rail vehicles is desirable

  • Project management experience advantageous

  • Strong self-starting abilities and structured approach to work

  • Team player with excellent communication skills and the desire to work within an international team environment

  • Excellent command of English, preferably also German, both written and spoken

  • Willingness for occasional stays abroad, at times for one to several weeks
