Project Manager Marketing & Sales CTAP


The AO Competency-based Training and Assessment Program, also referred to as CTAP, uses validated knowledge and skills training and assessment tools to address gaps in surgical training and establish AO as a leader in skills training and assessor of competence. CTAP takes advantage of new practices in training, coaching and assessment emerging through the rapid development in AR/VR simulation.


The purpose of the role of the Marketing & Sales Manager is to help develop and build brand awareness amongst the target audience and other key stakeholder groups and building up a strong customer base in the highly competitive postgraduate education market. Understanding the needs of Residency Program Directors and Hospital Administrators and predicting competitor's reactions will be prerequisites for building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships.


In this role, you will design and implement a strategic marketing and sales plan in close collaboration with the CTAP Steering Committee, the CTAP Taskforce, and the Director Stakeholder Engagement AONA. Your network of contacts in North American medical societies, your in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry and postgraduate medical education in North America in combination with a winning mindset, strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills and diplomacy will be crucial for being successful in this international role.


The CTAP Marketing & Sales Manager is based in AONA Philadelphia working closely with AO staff in Europe.


In this role you will be required to



  • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer and stakeholder/sponsor requirements/needs

  • Help develop brand awareness amongst the target audience and stakeholder groups

  • Design and implement a strategic marketing plan for CTAP in collaboration with the AONA Director Stakeholder Engagement and the CTAP Project Manager

  • Clearly articulate the value of the program and the different product offerings to relevant stakeholders

  • Develop a PR and communication plan for launch and continuous adoption of the program and its derivative products

  • Plan, implement and evaluate promotional programs including the production of promotional material

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans

  • Build up and continuously expand a customer base

  • Assess return on marketing and business development strategies to continuously improve approaches to promoting and marketing the products

  • Maintain customer relationships and ensure all needs of customers are being met

  • Serve as the point of contact for all customers

  • Forecast projected revenue, reporting to CTAP Steering Committee


 


To master this challenge, you have



  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Marketing and Sales in the healthcare sector

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry, postgraduate medical education and medical societies in North America

  • Broad network of contacts in the healthcare sector in North America

  • Willingness to travel regularly

  • Experience with non-profit organizations
