Role  Summary


The Field Project Manager (FPM) role is responsible for supporting the life science automation sales team in the sales process to achieve Operations Plan.  The role involves analysing workflows and customer requirements and translating these into a clear set of needs.  These needs are used to design of a solution using the entire product range from Biomek and Echo liquid handlers to Robotic Systems. The FPM should be capable of demonstrating the solutions by means of software simulations, system drawings, pricing justification, and customer presentations to support the sales specialist.  The FPM will also act as a key liaison between the customer, Sales Specialist and Access Solutions Group as part of the solution design.


Key responsibilities



  • Support the sales team in the sales of integrated and robotic automation systems.

  • Analyse customer laboratory processes, workflows and requirements.

  • In conjunction with the Sales Specialist, develop custom fitted Life Science Automation solutions with a focus on ‘complex projects’

  • Provide support in the customization of smaller workstations where applicable.

  • Act as a consultant for customers, the channel partners and internally for our sales specialists.

  • Present complex solutions to customers at sales meetings including software demonstrations.

  • System drafting and design using MS Visio.

  • Communication with Integration Operations to develop a system and generate final quotations and drawings.

  • Cultivate key customer relationships to bring unique solutions to internal stakeholders.

  •  Support seamless transition of won projects to successful implementation.
     


Experience



  • Advanced degree in biology, biochemistry or similar

  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) required

  • Laboratory automation system sales experience preferred

  • Applications support experience preferred

  • Deep knowledge of life science laboratory processes

  • Strong IT literacy and ideally experience in automation control software

  • Customer relations and cross functional teamwork experience

  • Understanding of complex sales solution processes

  • Fluent English required, second European language skills a plus

  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%)
