About the team you are joining


Reporting to the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, the DGC & Director Business Operations is a member of the leadership team of the GCCS and is responsible for the Products and Services Legal workstream and driving the GCCS team’s operational excellence though innovation and creativity. 


What your day would be like



  • Lead Products and Services team within Legal Services;

  • Manage and support projects across the full range of legal subject matters supported by GCCS;

  • Develop and implement improvements and innovations in the GCCS team’s business operations;

  • Create processes and practices to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the GCCS team, facilitate change, and control costs;

  • Identify and implement tools to streamline new or existing practices, as well as manage design, rollout, and training for new systems;

  • Supervise, mentor and lead team of lawyers on commercial law issues;

  • Strategy, Planning and Budget as set out in Role Framework
    People management of Direct Reports – Senior Legal Counsel, Legal Counsel, Administrative staff;

  • Team policy development and monitoring.

We would love to hear from you if



  • University degree in law, (LLB, JD, LLM) from an internationally recognized university; 

  • Admission to practice law in a relevant jurisdiction;

  • A minimum of ten years’ experience in general commercial law in a legal department of an organization, government department or in law firm;

  • Experience in:
    - leading projects and implementing innovative initiatives in legal teams
    - managing external counsel
    - developing, implementing, and using legal department technology solutions (e.g, Matter Management software, Repstor Unity, Practical Law, Lexis Nexis, Docusign e-signature)

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;

  • Excellent command of English, with any other language an asset;

  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
