DuPont Safety & Construction (S&C), a DowDuPont Specialty Products Division business, is a global leader in products and solutions that protect what matters – people, structures and the environment – and enables its customers to win through unique capabilities, global scale and iconic brands including Corian®, Kevlar®, Nomex®, Tyvek®, Styrofoam™ and Filmtec®.

S&C is seeking an Application Development Leader F/M/D to actively support our Mass Transportation market.

Responsibilities:

• The indvidual will technically support our customers and partners in the field, as well as working with the global technical, marketing and sales team to develop new concepts and differentiated solutions to promote and grow Dupont Safety innovative products.


• The individual will lead technical activities focused on composite materials development, testing and analysis of highly engineered parts used  by our Mass Transportation (Aerospace, Railway) customers.


• In that role, the Application Development leader F/M/D requires a strong experience in composite material manufacturing as well as characterizing such solutions.


• The person must be able to collaborate effectively with customers and value-chain partners, manage multiple priorities, flexible and autonomous.


• The candidate should have a material expertise (fiber based composites)  including properties and production processes.


• There will be frequent internal and external customer communication and interactions and travel in the local central European area. Occasionally, overnight travel will be required.

Job Qualification

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering or related field.


• Technical background on composite materials (fiber based composites) is required. Industrial experience in aerospace or railway transportation would be advantageous


• Capable of good communication skills to promote ideas/concepts through visual means


• Very much customer focused, with a strong sense of ownership and personal accountability


• Analytical, scientific and methodical in solving technical challenges


• Willing to be hands on and work on prototypes (try and error)


• Candidate must be a team player, thorough, flexible and independent


• High proficiency in English (spoken and written), French or German would be a plus.

LOCATION : European Technical Center, Geneva, Switzerland.
