Marketing Director

Purpose


As the Marketing Director you are part and responsible for defining, establishing, monitoring, operating and improving the marketing of our company. As you will be the first person filling this newly created role, you will have a tremendous impact on how this role will evolve; including the possibility to grow into a truly international position… and by success to participate directly as the company grows. As a marketing director you are reporting directly to the CEO. At a later stage, you will lead a marketing team.


Tasks



  • Develop and deliver marketing and communications strategies for the organization and the PEDCO brand globally.

  • Develop the marketing strategy for new and existing products in an international market.

  • Ensures implementation of the marketing strategy – including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR.

  • Work closely with the company’s sales director/team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations.

  • Ensure that the marketing objectives are implemented.

  • Work closely with product management to define marketing materials and programs.

  • Manage and establish social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.

  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.

  • Attends/lead conference booths in US, Europe, Worldwide.

  • Ensures that existing CRM-Software VTiger gets used properly and implements GDPR.

  • Supervises the web page; manage our webpage with wordpress.


Required Skills and Knowledge


You must have evidence of on-going personal and professional development experience in previous job roles to fulfill a senior job role like this one. As we are still a startup company, you need to be able to perform tasks by yourself and, at a later stage, lead a marketing team as a servant leader. You are a self-reliant, focused and pragmatic personality with excellent analytical skills. Former colleagues would describe you as: pleasant, energetic, flexible, reliable, results-oriented and self-motivated.


You bring with you the following experience to perform this complex assignment:



  • Developing and implementing successful operations in product and/or service delivery.

  • Well-rounded marketing background with an ability to develop compelling marketing programs and materials, e.g. themes, content and assets

  • Ability to write clear, compelling marketing copy

  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills in English, multilingual capabilities are a big plus, e.g. Spanish, Chinese, French or Portuguese.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and practices.

  • Proven success in exceeding revenue and lead generation objectives.

  • A portfolio showing a track record in developing and executing successful Marketing campaigns would be ideal.

  • Develop and implement performance management and quality control to review various processes; use management information and technology to improve the quality of products and monitor its performance.

  • Understanding of the legal side of the job through legislative and regulatory framework in this service area in marketed countries [Europe, USA, South-America, Australia].

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies, especially the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

  • Knowledge and experience in regulated environments is a big plus. E.g. Automotive, Government, Defense, Finance, Pharmaceutic, … and its related reference models such as CMMI, A-Spice 3.0, FDA CPT 11, ISO 62305, ISO 13485, FAA, ….

  • Able to work with WordPress, InDesign, VTiger is a big plus.


Where you will be working?


This position is based at your home office and should be based in Europe or US. Our corporate headquarters and training center is in Zurich, Switzerland. Some short time travel is required to conferences and events.
