We are looking for a Data IT Engineer to join the Digital Transformation team. We build the digital infrastructure for Johnson Electric. We create IT solutions and program applications to collect process and analyze data from our plants and engineering labs. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for programming and IT and with practical experience with big data on the shop floor.


Responsibilities:



  • Program SQL databases for deployment and use at local sites worldwide

  • Deploy big data IT infrastructure on shop floor and in labs

  • Develop Power BI dashboards for manufacturing and engineering analytics

  • Program data anlytics and data visualization applications in Python

  • Work on applications in the big data platform built on technology like Python, Cassandra, Hadoop and Neo4j


Requirements



  • MSc or BSc in Engineering or Computer Science

  • Proven experience deploying IT technology for Big Data in an industrial setting (sensors, IIoT, Hadoop)

  • Proven experience of 1-3 years with big data on the shop floor



  • Proven experience in programming with Python, SQL



  • Experience with Linux OS



  • Experience with signal and image processing of industrial data



  • A talent for data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau)



  • Passion for programming and IT



  • Intercultural competence



  • Good English knowledge
