Job Description


Manufacturing is the backbone of Takeda and Quality is our license to operate. We are critical functions, ensuring that our medicines are made available wherever our patients are.  We ensure that medicines are efficiently produced, meet the highest standards, are authenticated and reach patients wherever they are. Through innovation, technology and science we can play a vital role in enhancing our patients’ quality of life.


ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Drive the financial planning process including setting performance targets, forecasting, annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning

  • Drive and monitor financial performance, analyze and interpret operating results, investigate variances and evaluate their effect on operations

  • Deliver and present high quality financial & operational performance analysis, insights, predictive scenario planning and step-change solutions or recommendations including opportunities, risks and remediation measures that support senior management to formulate effective business strategy

  • Prepare and present financial performance to Senior Management

  • Support Senior Management in business reviews by challenging regional, functional and site performance

  • Provide unique insights, analytics and strategic advice to support the execution of the network footprint, restructuring, acquisitions and divestments

  • Build a highly motivated and effective team of professionals in FP&A, Consolidation, Global Functions Business Partnering, Financial Compliance, Financial Systems, Data Management and Finance Transformation programs that strives for high performance, continuous improvement with a strong focus on patient centricity

  • Ensure effective collaboration and communication across operating units, regions, global functions and Global Finance, including TBS (Takeda Business Solutions)

  • Drive opportunity to integrate, standardise and simplify systems and processes to support Finance Transformation initiatives and elevate the capabilities of the GMS/GQ (Global Manufacturing, Supply and Global Quality) Finance community

  • Support the transfer of transactional/operational activities to TBS (Takeda Business Solutions)

  • Enable the digitalization of financial planning and analysis from visualization to predictive forecasting  

  • Act as a role model for compliance, demonstrate the Takeda Leadership Behaviors and bring others along the change journey. Ensure compliant financial processes in accordance with internal and external requirements


EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:



  • Education: Completed business studies with focus on management / accounting / controlling. CMA, CPA, Master in Finance or MBA education preferred

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a finance / controlling or an analytics-heavy position

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in the pharmaceutical/ Biotech industry in a manufacturing environment is a must

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a commercially focused finance role is an asset

  • Audit experience is strongly preferred

  • Having worked in a local, regional and global role is an asset

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and Power Point, solid knowledge of SAP and HFM would be an advantage

  • Excellent communications and presentation skills

  • Languages: Excellent English skills
