Our main therapeutic areas include hematology, immunology, lysosomal storage diseases, other genetic disorders or diseases, neuroscience, gastroenterology, internal medicine and, now more strongly, oncology.


MATERIALS CHANGE MANAGEMENT PROJECT LEADER


The Supply Chain team of Takeda Neuchâtel (production site active in the hematology area and employing roughly 650 people) is looking for a Materials Change Management Project Leader.


The mission


The MCM project leader position requires to manage projects, programs, portfolio and change control for material changes (raw material, auxiliaries, excipients, packaging…) for Neuchâtel and other impacted manufacturing sites ensuring supply continuity and business growth.


Coordination of the implementation of raw materials for a group of products while balancing plant efficiency, sales, distribution, customer service, and meeting inventory, manufacturing, quality and regulatory requirements is the key focus.


This position requires excellent project management skills including the ability to communicate appropriately with all departments within the Neuchâtel site as well as in other Takeda locations. Therefore, fluent English language skills are mandatory, other languages an asset.

Accountabilities :


Project and portfolio management:



  • Manage overall portfolio and projects for raw material changes for all products/plants considering lowest possible impact on market supply and manufacturing operations while still maintaining highest possible efficiency in change implementation.

  • Lead cross-divisional or cross-functional projects with a broad scope: Identify and engage necessary resources. Identify barriers and recommend solutions. Develop a project plan and execute to timeline. Communicate project status to requestors, customers and senior management.

  • Define implementation plan and if required mitigation strategy based on supply/demand forecast. Optimize inventory levels with Supply Planning to reduce the financial impact of the change while securing the launch of the new material.

  • Align different Supply Chain views and needs (Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management) in the context of material/label change to one Supply Chain implementation strategy.

  • Lead local and global teams (internal/external) in defining program strategies, developing goals, assigning project tasks and ensures the team meets all goals.

  • Analyze complex data with the understanding of trade-offs between different business objectives and present recommendations


Problem solving



  • Initiate escalation process and facilitate problem solving for issues endangering supply continuity or fulfillment of business critical goal.


Process management



  • Transparently monitor, control and report process performance of material changes

  • Ensure globally harmonized application of raw material implementation processes across the different functions and facilities

  • Define and control transparent process for business case development of requested material changes as base for definition of project priority and required implementation target date

  • Continuous process alignment and improvement


Relations



  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers (sites), stakeholders, third parties/vendors.


Essential



  • Education in  natural  sciences, biotechnology  or engineering: minimum bachelor degree (or at least 5 years proven practical experience as described below)

  • if bachelor or higher: min 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing and/or quality in (bio)pharmaceutical production (GMP environment)

  • Project Management, Change Control, Supply Chain, Materials Management knowledge

  • IT: ERP systems (C3ME or others), EQM systems (e.g. TrackWise), project management tools, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • English (fluent)

  • Outstanding communication skills with team members of different origin and various locations

  • Stress resistant and ability to work solution-oriented
