About the opportunity

We are looking for Remote Senior Software Engineers to join our Platform Infrastructure Team and advance our product, powered by a serverless architecture written in node.js and TypeScript. 

Our Platform Infrastructure Team is an international cross-functional team driven by collaboration and sharing knowledge along with a high degree of autonomy. Their mission is to provide core shared Backend services, reliable and scalable infrastructure to the rest of the organization.

As a Remote Senior Software Engineer at Crowdhouse, you will be encouraged to embrace the latest technological updates and excel in an environment working on complex, interesting technical challenges on a daily basis. 

Having created a platform to drive forward our internal business teams our next move is to make it open and accessible for the entire real-estate market in Switzerland.

In this role, you will: 

• You will contribute to the development of our real-estate platform working with TypeScript, Node.js, Kubernetes, Terraform, Elastic Search,  and AWS Lambdas.


• Together with the team you are defining and implementing our architecture across the organisation   


• You will provide contributions not only to our infrastructure but  to large scale multi-team projects, enabling crowdhouse to achieve the goal of being the biggest real-estate agent in Switzerland.  


• Collaboration and implementation  of a market-first property recommendation algorithm 

 

What you need to be successful: 

• You have significant experience building software using a modern language e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Ruby or similar. (We use Typescript). 


• You have a good understanding of distributed systems, event driven architecture and ideally a serverless setup


• You have experience working with modern cloud architecture (we use AWS ). 


• We like to sleep well so we test our code, we hope you do too! (we mostly use Jest and Cypress). 


• You have strong emphasis on monitoring your services and keeping tracks of metrics of your services
