Responsibilities

As a UI/UX Engineer, you will:

• Work as part of the team that maintains our in-house big data analytics platform


• Implement, monitor, manage and generic data visualization capabilities of the platform covering comprehensively the raw and aggregate data held in the platform, its continuous data streams, and the outcomes of complex analytics operated upon the data


• Implement, monitor, manage and optimize specialized data visualizations as required by different clients, in diverse domains (including for example healthcare and security analytics) using our big data analytics platform


• Quickly master the functionality of our in-house big data analytics platform, adapt to our agile software development methodologies and continuously work to a highly demanding environment operating under challenging productivity measures


• Provide technical presentations of our in-house big data analytics platform to internal and external stakeholders


• Participate in international meetings with clients and collaborators


• Actively promote company culture

Required education, experience and skills

For this post, you will need to have/demonstrate:

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field (an MSc degree would be a plus)


• 2+ years experience developing web applications in various script-based languages (i.e. JS, Angular, Vue.js, React)


• Hands-On Experience in frameworks for web front-end building and visualization (React or Angular)


• Excellent data modelling skills (both in relational and non-relational data modelling)


• Experience in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review, and design of software, including technical review and analysis of source code, memory dump analysis, and application performance profiling


• Experience on web and REST services


• Experience with SW version control


• Excellent technical writing skills


• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project teams
