What you will do


This position is in charge of increasing profitable sales of Tecan solutions in the EMEAI distributor channel. This job extends throughout the complete sales funnel from lead generation to project implementation. The role requires a strong background in the Life Science and clinical diagnostics environment including sales and sales development of instruments, reagents kits, consumables and service products.


 


Responsibilities will include



  • Act as the first point of contact vs distributors regarding the Life Science and Clinical Diagnostic market segments.

  • Act as the interface and facilitate interaction between Product Management, Application Management and other units other internal functions and other distributors or Tecan Sales organizations (e.g. Demos, references).

  • Develop, implement, monitor and adapt segment market development plans in close interaction with distributors and European Sales Management.

  • Improve product, application and segment-specific know-how of the distributors to empower them to successfully represent Tecan solutions.

  • Provide project support throughout complete projects (customer classification, product configuration, pricing, presentation, implementation).

  • Develop and maintain the relevant sales, information and training tools (CRM, Distributor Net, Tecan Distributor Academy).

  • Collect market and competition information and trends and feed information back to Product Management and Regional Sales management.

  • Represent Tecan at relevant events (conferences, trade shows, symposia) or distributor workshops/meetings.

  • This position involves significant international travelling within the territory (Eastern Europe, Middle East, India, South Africa).


 


What you bring along



  • Bachelor or Master degree or equivalent in chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or profound science, alternatively business education with strong technical education or experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of successful technical sales experience of instruments in the Life Science or Clinical environment.

  • Fluent English speaking, at least one Eastern European language (e.g. Russian) are a must

  • Application and technical experience in automated liquid handling (demonstration, set-up, application development) is a plus.

  • Trained in use of software tools, i.e. CRM, SAP, Excel

  • Openness for other cultures and mentalities

  • Strong self-motivation and willingness to travel up to 60%

  • Self-organized, excellent communication skills and time management.
