Development of reactor simulation methodologies and LWR cycle models with Monte Carlo MC radiation transport codes
Validation of Monte Carlo simulations against available experimental data for criticality safety w/o burnup credit, fluence and activation as well as for core analyses of the Swiss reactors
Enhancements and further development of in-house methodologies for coupling of Monte-Carlo models to core simulators and activation codes as well as for nuclear data uncertainty propagation
Preparation of scientific publications and technical reports
Contributions to education activities and supervision of students
Your profile
PhD degree in Reactor Physics, Nuclear Engineering or Physics
Strong background in Monte Carlo neutron transport simulations
Solid background in statistical methods, validation procedures and data processing tools
Experience in programming and scripting, especially good knowledge of Perl will be an asset
Familiarity with LWR safety analyses and multi-physics simulations
Eligibility for obtaining MCNP® code license
Fluency in spoken and written English and, ideally, basic knowledge of German
