About the role


As Head of this Unit you will directly cooperate with the CTO and lead all aspects of Strategy and Governance related topics. You will be a member of the GTS Leadership team and will actively contribute to the Vision and Mission of GTS, which is to transform and run our Swiss Re IT in digital speed, ensure operational stability, and drive technology and innovation.

Main responsibilities:


You will…



  • develop the IT strategy of GTS in alignment with Swiss Re’s business strategy and set the direction and corner stones in collaboration with the OPS management and Info Tech.

  • build and maintain critical performance metrics and continuously improve the areas Stability, Innovation and Agility

  • coordinate the progress of GTS initiatives and the overall roadmap

  • co-create GTS' sourcing strategy, collect the capacity demand and track implementation in cooperation with global sourcing and the product area heads

  • build business cases for new GTS initiatives and highlight customer benefits, track status and performance and prepare the communication

  • manage and support the team of Digital Governance Framework and IT Governance


 


About the team


As part of Swiss Re's CTO Division, called Group Technology Services, the Strategy and Governance unit will be responsible to provide InfoTech Governance and the relevant steering capabilities in order to enable the CTO to effectively manage and inspire change throughout the organization.


 


The Strategy and Governance unit is defining InfoTech strategy, governance frameworks and roadmaps for GTS and beyond. It is also designing and maintaining the GTS Service management framework, its adoption and related steering instruments. The unit is also responsible for providing external audit reports (SOC), responses to external clients and regulators and evidence of regulatory compliance for employees dealing with regulators.


 


About You


We are looking for a strategic leader with phenomenal collaboration skills, who is eager to supplement the expertise in a newly built division within Group operations.


You have knowledge, experience and technical expertise:



  • You hold a master's degree preferably in computer science or business administration specialized on strategy development and execution with at least 10 years of work experience.

  • You have a solid grasp of an agile IT operating model, IT service value chain and IT strategy as well as IT governance related topics.

  • You foster entrepreneurial thinking in our organization and combine it with solid financial understanding.

  • You are ambitious, analytical, creative and an enabler for the organization
