Establishes and maintains the general accounting reporting and practices for two legal entities. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and/or review necessary journal entries for properly stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (US GAAP and Local GAAP) and company policy.
This position will report to the Accounting Manager of UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.
Position Responsibilities:
Month-end closing processes and tasks
Reconciliations of assets and liabilities accounts (banks, intercompany, inventory, payroll, VAT, taxes, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals)
Daily maintenance of fixed assets module
Preparation of VAT returns, EC sales listings and intrastats
Preparation of various reports and financial statements for our U.S. headquarters based in California
Work on any specific requests, projects related to accounting, compliance , tax
Statutory accounts preparations
Overall audits support, including quality, SOx, operational, financial
Procedures & processes improvements
Requirements:
Studies in Accounting and/or Finance
6 years of professional experience within an accounting environment
Fluent English; fluent French is a plus
Excellent computer skills, especially Excel
Knowledge of SAP; Oracle ERP system is a plus
Knowledge of US GAAP and basic understanding of SOx
Be able to work in a team but also independently
