  • An exciting and meaningful position in the newly established Climate Risk Management team within the Group Chief Compliance and Risk Officer function (“CRCO”)

  • An opportunity to help develop the firm’s approach to climate risk management including:



      • The development of a formal risk appetite framework

      • The design of risk management processes for the governance of climate risk by both the 1st and 2nd lines of defines



  • To develop and implement scenarios for assessing the impact of different climate outcomes on the Firm’s risk portfolios

  • The defining of what types of external disclosures the firm might choose to make in the near- and medium-term

  • The chance to contribute to the analysis and assessment of all forms of Climate Risk that the firm faces in the execution of its business strategy; bringing together insights across risk types

  • An opportunity to develop thematic assessments of different types of climate risk which will help shape the evolution of the form’s appetite for pursuing different forms of business in climate-sensitive sectors

You Offer

 

  • Completed university degree with 5+ years of relevant financial industry experience

  • Demonstrable skills in risk analysis, or economics or another analytical or quantitative function

  • A passion for climate risk!

  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)

  • Executive writing skills and ability to produce PowerPoint presentations and analysis – bringing together core messages from broader analyses and research to deliver insights to senior management

  • Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way and with a focus on aspects most relevant to the specific audience

  • Proven ability to engage a larger group of people across departments and locations and deliver results

  • A strong desire to join a growing team focused on some of the biggest issues facing the world

  • An empathetic, positive solution-oriented personality and a can-do attitude

  • Passion for teamwork and skills balancing multiple assignments simultaneously

  • A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
