Senior Software Engineer (Microservices)

Are you the right person to implement scalable and performant backend applications in the Technology & Services division for Vontobel Asset Management? Do you enjoy keeping your fingers on the pulse of technology?

Within our Asset Management Data Engineering team in the Technology & Services division we are looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys developing applications on a microservice infrastructure, sharing new ideas and is keen on driving continuous improvement at all times.

Your opportunity

• Designing, implementing, and testing modern backend data analytics applications.


• Collaborating closely with other teams and business in an agile environment.


• Ensuring robustness and performance of our applications.

 

You bring

• Strong understanding of Microservice architectures (Kubernetes, Openshift).


• Hands-on experience with the implementation of Microservice operators.


• Prior hands-on experience in developing and deploying Microservices solutions.


• Deep implementation experience with event-based and message-driven distributed system.


• Strong familiarity with web servers and load balancing technologies.


• Knowlege and expericence to ensure high performance.


• Experience with modern application lifecycle management tools (Git, Visual Studio, Intellij, Code Reviews) .


• Experience with automated builds, tests and deployment of libraries on a compute cluster.

• Very keen on new technologies and flexible in your choice of tools.


• A strong team player who enjoys sharing ideas.


• ­Willing to engage in a changing and flexible environment, with the ability to question the status quo.


• Able to inspire the team.


• Fluent in English.
