The primary responsibility of the Merchandise Planning Coordinator is to lead in building the global multi-year and seasonal Merch Financial Planning in collaboration with the Merchandising Leads.
Primary accountabilities:
Analyze the business on an on-going basis to understand core drivers, identify opportunities and risks
Conduct analytics and financial hind sighting
Partner with Merchandising Leads on long-term and seasonal merch strategy with focus on financial KPIs
Develop analytical framework used to inform financially and strategically relevant assortment strategies
Lead SKU count analysis and conduct SKU rationalization exercises using ABC analysis or other quantitative analysis
Prepare SKU insights and opportunities for Merchandising based on historical performance and plan season financial objectives
Partner with Finance and Merchandising Leads to define Merchandise Financial targets (sales, margin) and drive alignment throughout GTM to achieve set targets
Liaise with Merchandising Leads to set and measure SKU and productivity
Partner with Merch planning to roll up seasonal MFPs by channel and category to align with financial and brand strategies
Support Merchandising in defining line plans and facilitate discussions to ensure plans align with financial strategies
Oversight and reconcile regional forecast during development milestones to understand line adoption and track targets against MFP; highlight gaps and opportunities
Responsible for the initial global demand plan that connects sales and product strategies to Operations/Supply Chain
Own handoffs of seasonal merchandising financial plan to the operations team
Partner with Supply Planning, ensuring forecasts are connected to strategic focuses
Partner with Merchandising Operations to develop planning calendar to align Merchandising, Finance, Sales, RD&D, and operations milestones/deliverables

How You’ll Make a Difference…
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+
Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of years of experience and education.
Microsoft Office Suite – Very strong Excel knowledge required
Experience using BI reporting systems
Strong communication skills both verbal and written, strong cross functional collaboration skills required
Strong understanding of brand categories across diverse channels of distribution
Ability play and integral role within a broader team, connect the department and individual expectations to company vision
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to work with others as part of cross-functional team, build consensus, and achieve results across a variety of distinct groups
Experience product forecasting, statistical modeling and/or strategic planning
