GENERAL SUMMARY


The Senior Manager Strategic Accounts The North Face EMEA is responsible for building the capabilities to develop the marketplace strategy in the digital world with a special focus on defined digital strategic accounts.


The role will develop customized digital attack plans aligned to brand strategy and maximise revenues, market share, brand presence online, margin and level of service based on analytics of sales, product, traffic and conversion performance.


You will take on revenue responsibility and manage the defined key accounts and sales team and work collaboratively with the cross functional account team to deliver the account plan. He or she is responsible for the implementation of the brands strategic orientation, growth and development of customer relationships across the organisation.


PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Implement consumer centric approach



  • Establish and understanding of consumers and buying trends. Formulate guidelines for consumer centric opportunities, taking into consideration the specific consumer profiles per each influential account in wholesale.com

  • Targeted approach aligned to the ‘progressive explorer’ consumer


Manage and improve online sales growth



  • Lead cross functional account team to create, review and present assortment plans for defied digital accounts on a seasonal base.

  • Development and execution of the account LRP plan to optimise differentiation and revenues. The plans should be developed using most current trends, in the marketplace, ABC list, evaluations of business and direction of company

  • Analyse sales, performance by style, category and division; use this knowledge and trend direction to provide recommendations to maximise opportunities and limit liabilities


Drive and launch branded shopping experiences



  • Manage account, digital and trade marketing functions to deliver optimized brand experience, brand presence and impactful digital product launches in accordance with brand calendar.

  • Ensure customer classification maintenance by distribution channel, country and organization

  • Lead sell-thru analysis process  and define digital sell-thru break downs and digital sell-thru KPI’s in alignment with The North Face e-com


Leadership and coaching of organization



  • Work with all business stakeholders (marketing, merchandising, sales, operations ) to develop Strategic Account Plan focusing on the right assortment and the right activation strategy within the EMEA market place

  • Adapt to department plans and priorities to manage resource and operational challenges

  • Educate, influence and regularly inform key stakeholders in the organisation about digital developments, opportunities and needed capabilities


QUALIFICATIONS  


                                  


The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.



  • Education: University Degree or equivalent, preferably in business or economics

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in e-commerce, digital business consulting or senior key account management for outdoor, sports, athletic or fashion brands with focus on digital retailers

  • Technical understanding of online business and digital outdoor / sporting goods marketplace

  • Proven track record of implementing digital brand platforms, sales programs and procedures.

  • Experience with outdoor consumers and preferably be an active sports participant

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong business acumen.

  • Strong negotiation skills with sufficient gravitas to manage terms discussions at a senior level.

  • High energy, goal oriented and a driven individual, analytical strategic mind-set

  • Task oriented, able to complete tasks unsupervised – a doer.
