Claims Governance & Analytics Specialist

Your Tasks

In this role you will report directly to the Practice Lead Claims Global at elipsLife and you will have a matrix report to the Corporate Solution Claims Head of Governance and Analytics. The Claims Governance & Analytics Specialist is responsible for developing and analyzing KPI and productivity reports as well as for overseeing all claims related governance activities in elipsLife . The role requires significant independence and the ability to work with a range of people from different cultural backgrounds. Your main responsibilities include:

Reporting/Analytics

• Provide ad hoc reporting support to the elipsLife Practice Lead Claims and line managers to effectively carry out their day-to-day responsibilities


• Identify and deliver continued improvements in Claims reporting and analytics capabilities particularly as the business continues to grow into new markets and products


• Ensure timely delivery of ongoing reporting packages to fulfil our senior management reporting obligations, key controls and strategic meetings with brokers and clients


• Support Claims Leadership team in provision of key operational control tasks such as large loss review process and quarterly operational reporting


• Support Claims Leadership team in provision of claims scorecard reporting

Governance

• In collaboration with the elipsLife Claims Heads and the Global Governance & Analytics Head, maintain key controls designed to minimise operational risks across elipsLife


• Collaborate with Operations to ensure end-to-end controls are in place and that all hand-offs are managed appropriately


• Lead and manage the global loss and incidents process for elipsLife Claims and ensure control failure root causes are identified and followed up on, ensure best practice sharing across all claims departments to avoid repeat findings


• Act as liaison between Claims and Operational Risk Management, and Audit


• Maintain regional authority limits


• Act as trusted expert and advisor to all elipsLife Claims Departments on risks and controls place

Your profile 

• Minimum bachelor degree; preferably mathematics, economics or law and MBA


• Proven skills in Data analytics and report capabilities


• Insurance experience, preference given to candidates with life claims experience


• Compliance/regulatory experience


• Excellent English and German oral and written skills


• Presentation skills


• Skilled in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, PowerBI)


• Good analytical skills essential


• Risk management


• Efficient communication skill


• Able to cope with high stress in tight schedule
