Senior Test Automation Engineer

What will you be working with?

You will play a central role in our test automation team, writing scripts and creating automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions. The goal is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code. You will work close with the project teams and DevOps ensuring that the principals are followed.

We expect our developers to test their piece of code, while you will provide them with the necessary principles, infrastructure and guidelines.

Your daily work will include

• Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts/code that run testing functions automatically


• Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the systems


• Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios


• Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases


• Build test automation frameworks


• Log and document bugs in the tracking system


• Integrate tests into the Continuous Integration set up


• Collaborate with DevOps, development and design teams on technical implementation

What do we expect?

• Bachelor/Master’s degree or equal professional experience
  


• Profound technical background within automated testing and experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI or similar


• Professional approach and extensive experience within technical testing in a regulated industry


• Ability to work in an agile environment and to prioritize and estimate task execution


• Critical thinking and analytical skills to examine bug reports and prioritize necessary tests


• Experience with scripting languages like Sh, PowerShell, Python, etc. and with the Microsoft technology stack (like .NET, C#, Azure, SQL, Web) and perhaps also with JavaScript, React, TypeScript etc.


• Good communication skills in English and German


• Team oriented personality which is able to work successfully with international project team members and Developers
