Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Underneath everything Google users and customers see online or access from the cloud is the network that has been built by the Technology Infrastructure team. Our team focuses on planning and acquiring infrastructure solutions for Google's production network and large Google Cloud customers. As a Lead Technical Program Manager, you will travel up to 30% of the time.

Google Cloud provides organizations with leading infrastructure, platform capabilities and industry solutions. We deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology to help companies operate more efficiently and adapt to changing needs, giving customers a foundation for the future. • Operate at a level of leadership for large Google Cloud infrastructure needs in EMEA. Design infrastructure solutions in collaboration with product management.

  • Set strategy and objectives for the wider Google Cloud infrastructure planning organization.

  • Design solutions with telecoms and fiber, data centers, and telco platform-as-a-service and infrastructure-as-a-service technologies.

  • Work internally and externally planning infrastructure capacities, redundancies, and working with Network Automation/Analytics/Operations, Telco IT, and open source architectures. Own program plans (i.e. financial analysis, capacity planning, solution lifecycle, design).
