Swiss-based tech startup WayRay is on a mission to create a future where any transparent surface is a window into virtual worlds. We are currently seeking bright minds to join our team of talented professionals and help bring this vision of the future into the present. 

At present, we are looking for a Holography Engineer / Senior Holography Engineer to be a key member of the Optics department that develops the future of holographic technology. 

Tasks:

• Assembly of the optical system on the optical table.


• Verification of the precision of components & installation on the optical table.


• Hologram recording and processing of holographic optical elements.


• Process optimization.

Required:

• Hands-on experience with holography


• Understanding of volume holographic optical element


• 3+ years of experience working in a lab with cleanroom on optical tables


• “3D thinking” – able to understand and work with systems with multiple axis breaks, able to work in engineering CAD software like Solid Works/Inventor/Fusion360


• Fluent English and German would be a plus.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Laser Safety and hands-on experience with Class-4 lasers (including infrared)


• Experience in laser resonator alignment, including infrared lasers


• Experience in analogue holography and polymer based recording materials 


• Interest in holographic head up display (HUD) and head-mounted display (HMD) application 


• Basic experience in programming, lab automation (С++, Python, Matlab)


• Understanding and/or on-hands experience with modern optical manufacturing technologies
