To support the Global Business IT Team we are looking for a Global System & Software Engineer, located in either Romanshorn TG or Widen AG (near Zurich with good public transport connections and free parking).

Application Architect – Global Business

Exciting Challenges:

As Application Architect you are responsible for analyzing the current application landscape of the business area “Global Business” in close collaboration with Group IT as well as to harmonizing and standardizing the current and future application and technology landscape.



• Collaborating with the Global Business Team to determine and analyze business-specific application needs


• Compiling and implementing application development plans for new or existing applications


• Creating international standards and design of future IT applications landscape related to the company’s’ overall IT roadmap


• Developing current Aveedo application and future MSPower application


• Documenting application development processes, procedures, and standards


• Integrating trends and Best Practices in application architecture in global IT initiatives, such as upgrades or other technology changes


• Supervising the design, testing, and modification stages


• Demonstrating application prototypes and integrating user feedback


• Performing application integration, maintenance, upgrades, and migration


• Collaboration with the local organizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness


• Single-point ownership and first contact for local business users





We Need Your Skills:





• Bachelor’s degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar


• Several years of experience in process analytics, process design and implementation of IT applications


• Profound knowledge of evaluating business needs and aligning application development


• Experience in successfully leading international projects


• Expertise in process and system auditing is an advantage


• Interested in working in a matrix organization and willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%)


• Distinct organization and coordination abilities


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as great collaboration and communication skills


• Fluent in both German and English​
