Description

To strengthen our Legal organization, we are looking for an exceptional International Commercial Counsel based in Geneva/Switzerland and reporting to the VP, General Counsel, Intl - GHI.



Key Accountabilities and Duties



• Provide legal and contracts support for ex- U.S. commercial business and operations.

• Help to develop and implement efficient processes for ex-U.S. contracts; including agreements with healthcare professionals and compliance with data protection laws.

• Support public tendering activities.

• Draft and advise the clinical affairs organization on clinical study agreements.

• Provide general legal support, as needed, to corporate functions; including HR, Finance, Corporate Affairs, Marketing, and Medical Affairs.

• Manage non-IP outside counsel on complex matters or projects.

• Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Furthermore you have the following skills, experience and qualifications:



Required:



Minimum Qualifications



• Advanced law degree (PhD in law, Juris Doctor, Masters level 2).

• 3+ years of experience as associate at a law firm or as in-house counsel; preferably in the life-sciences industry.

• 1+ years of experience navigating commercial law issues.

• Near-native level fluency in written and spoken English; including legal drafting.

• Near-native professional skills in at least one other major European language; Italian strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with data protection laws in ex-U.S. jurisdictions, especially Europe.

• Awareness of legal and compliance issues specific to the life sciences industry.

• Familiarity with European public procurement law.



Preferred Qualifications



• Other professional-level language skills, especially Spanish.

• Prior professional exposure to substantive law of multiple jurisdictions.
