Job Description

Purpose of the Job / Mission / Objectives
The successful candidate will work as part of the Quintet Wealth Management business.  The main purpose of the role is to be part of the Operations Team that is responsible for a variety of tasks like for example: Client payments, corporate actions, settlements, client control, master data management, middle office and further tasks.


Key accountabilities:


Client control:
- Opening, adjustment and closing of client relationships
- Storage and care of customer dossiers


- Collaboration on projects in cooperation with internal and external persons
- Testing during release changes for the core banking system Apsys / CIM
- Constant review after optimization of procedures and processes


- Settlement/monitoring and adjustment of stock exchange derivative and brokerage orders
- Settlement of fiduciary investments in different currencies
- Title deliveries at home and abroad (free of payment and against payment)
- Opening and maintenance of all securities master data
- Handling of corporate actions (dividends, splits, nominal value repayments, general meetings, conversions and others)
- Customer payments in all currencies
- Liquidity management of the various currencies at the correspondent banks
- Settlement of securities lending and borrowing (including administration of collateral)
- Registered shares (registrations and withdrawals)
- Opening of new custodians, brokers and DVP clients
- Electronic reconciliation of custodians and correspondent banks (securities and cash-accounts)
- Manual reconciliation of custodians (hedge funds, private equities)
- Electronic reconciliation in external portfolio management system (movements, accounts, holdings) of all clients held with Quintet and other custodian banks
- Preparation of daily reporting to SNB and SIX SIS
- Delivery of stamp duties, withholding taxes and value added tax
- Responsibility for compliance with instructions and processes within the team vis-à-vis superiors and internal and external auditors


Knowledge / Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in the required areas.
- Deep understanding of booking mechanics of cash equities, equity derivatives, bonds, funds and fx
- Affinity to project management and trade lifecycle management
- Experience with private equity and hedge funds is a plus

English (fluent / advanced)
