Ihre Aufgaben

The Global Supply Chain Management Team supports all business units in managing their own and METTLER TOLEDO's entire supply chain to gain a competitive advantage. This includes all aspects such as planning, procurement, order processing and logistics as well as the overall design of the supply chain and holistic process optimization. To strengthen our Global Category Management Team in Nänikon/Greifensee we are looking for an independent, proactive and agile person to join us as Category Manager 100% (m/f/d).

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

• Procurement strategy development and implementation in close collaboration with a module engineer and key stakeholders
  


• Coordinating multi-unit, cross-functional global projects and supporting of both regional and global implementations


• Leading and managing competitive bids, contract negotiations, and contracting
  


• Designing of target cost reduction programs while simultaneously guaranteeing quality assurance and security of supply, as well as proportional contractual risks
  


• Continuously improving the quality of supply chain by means of proactive exercise of influence and monitoring
  


• Identification and implementation of savings opportunities by transferring and applying best practices
  


• Implement standardized sourcing processes across the regions
  

Ihr Profil

Following requirements are necessary for this role:

• You have a bachelor or master degree in business, economics or related field and a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in supply chain management, consulting, key account management gained in a global matrix driven organization with familiarity in end-to-end processes
  


• Strong negotiator with proven project management skills
  


• Ability to deal with complex initiatives and to lead through persuasion with all levels and cultures
  


• Open-minded and engaged personality with an independent working method and proactive communication skills
  


• Solid financial acumen and strong analytical skills combined with very good MS-Office skills and IT savvy in general
  


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German skills are a big plus) with proven record of successfully presenting to all levels of a global organization
  


• Flexible with travelling (approx. 10-20%)
