Job Description

Training:



  • Plan and coordinate the execution of professional capability development projects for relevant EUCAN LOC Medical Affairs, aligned with the integrated brand strategy, and in collaboration with local, regional and global stakeholders.


  • Support the implementation of GMA centralized training content (in collaboration with relevant Areas and Functions) on disease and products across the EUCAN business unit aligned with the business strategic needs


  • Update Takeda training expertise and efficiency by exploring new methodologies and systems through external expert groups and organisations, using both pharma and non-pharma benchmark



Medical Excellence:



  • Coordinate the development, the delivery and the measurement of prioritized EUCAN medical affairs Excellence initiatives, in collaboration with other regional operation excellence departments (ex: Commercial Excellence, Customer Excellence) and global medical excellence functions (ex: Global Medical Excellence)


  • Coordinate the development and the updating of processes and systems dedicated to EUCAN medical affairs in collaboration with internal stakeholder and external providers. (ex: CRM, Insight gathering systems, key account management process etc.)


  • Provide leadership and operational support to LOCs on the execution of local implementation of projects dedicated to progress medical excellence.


  • Update Takeda medical excellence expertise and efficiency by exploring new methodologies and system through external expert groups and organisation, and both pharma and non-pharma benchmark



Scientific and therapeutic capability development



  • Active participation in integrated brand team activities whenever appropriate, in regional medical cross functional teams and in any cross functional leadership team where medical capability, processes or system development is discussed.


  • Ensure training curriculum are aligned with integrated brand strategy, Medical Affairs goals and training plans.


  • Work cross functionally with key stakeholders to support the implementation of new training content and the updating of existing disease and product training content as the treatment landscape evolves


  • Represent and align training content with appropriate internal review committees


  • Coordinate the execution of global initiated clinical trial, disease and product training programs for a EUCAN audience


  • Support managing vendors by exploring, selecting, on boarding and assisting in content and training tools creation


  • Support driving and leading live training events both face to face and via WebEx


  • Conduct training needs assessments and post-training assessments to ensure the needs of EUCAN stakeholders are met


  • Partner with regional and global training stakeholders to participate in non-medical training initiatives to adapt to medical audience if relevant.



Professional capabilities development:


In collaboration within the other members of the EUCAN medical excellence and training team, coordinate the development, planning, execution and measurement of projects dedicated to the EUCAN medical community, in line with the Global leadership capabilities and medical affairs fundamental activities.


For each project, clear accountability within the team will be set and followed, role can be “project lead” or “support”.

  • Experience as MSL or MSL management is highly desirable


  • Experience in medical operation or medical excellence is desirable


  • Ability to interpret complex scientific content and communicate subject matter to a diverse audience Strong capacity to manage multiple projects at once


  • Experience working in a global and matrix environment


  • Expertise in the therapeutic area of responsibility preferred



Required Functional / Technical competencies for this role



  • Strategy execution expertise: ex: holistic view, long term planning, priority management, autonomy and agility 


  • Expertise in project management


  • Expertise in capability development strategy aligned with business strategy, example:



-Translating strategic imperatives and objectives in people development


- Aligning development project planning to business cycles and milestones


- Elaborating efficient measurement and adaptation plans to adapt to changes



  • Scientific and medical expertise adapted to the training role in order to understand the content and translate in to pedagogic objectives and learning experience


  • Expertise in organizing and delivering training, managing vendors, logistics and legal aspects


  • Good presentation skills, verbal and written communication


  • Demonstrates ability to work in a complex matrix, managing different stakeholders with different priorities,


  • Ability to work in a cross functional demanding situation demonstrating both listening and decision skills


  • Knows how to use processes and systems to achieve business objectives (good knowledge of veeva CRM and other systems used by the medical community)
